Disk six – Assorted railway photos,
diesels and electrics 1987-2007.
This CD-R features 150 full colour photographs of locomotives and multiple units from America, Canada, Britain and France over a 20 year period from 1987-2007. These pictures were left over from the production of disks 1-5 in my series with nowhere to go, so I’ve put them all together to create a more “random” disk for the general enthusiast. There is only one steam locomotive (in the American section), the rest are all diesels and electrics.
- American and Canadian: 17 photos from Southern Michigan, Northern Ohio and Toronto (Canada) during 1987-1989, and also Southern California in 2005.
- British mainline: 53 photos from over 20 different locations around the UK spanning the full 20 years from 1987-2007. Locomotives, multiple units, railtours, stations, depot open days and other general pictures.
- British preserved: 60 photos from 13 different UK preservation sites spanning the full 20 years from 1987-2007. Locomotives from classes 08 to 89 both static displays and in action, plus some unclassified ones too.
- French: 20 photos of electric locomotives including Eurostars and TGVs in Paris, Amiens and Le Mans all during 1999.
- Descriptions: Every photo comes with a caption stored in the “file properties” detailing the scene, location and exact date. There are also MS Word and *.RTF format files containing all the captions for the whole disk so you can view/print them out too.
- All photos have been scanned directly from 35mm negatives at a super-high resolution of 2400dpi to give you the best possible image.
- All photos are approx 8.5 Megapixels in standard JPEG format.
- I use quality Memorex brand disks, NOT cheap “shop’s-own” disks. The CD comes supplied in a slim-line plastic case.
- The disk also comes with a colour sleeve and colour artwork label. This is NOT a “no-frills” item.
I have been an amateur photographer and railway enthusiast for over 20 years. All photographs on this disk are my own work using a Nikon N2000 35mm SLR camera with either 100 or 200 speed film.
I retain copyright over all images. They are for personal enjoyment and non-profit use only. The words "copyright protected" do not appear on the photos on the disk, they are here only to stop people downloading them.
