Breastfeeding/Nursing Necklaces are handmade in the UK by a stay-at-home mum. These
necklaces are not mass-produced they are all made exclusively and are unique.
The
basic function of a Breastfeeding necklace is to keep your baby's attention
whilst they feed, to try to prevent the inevitable hair pulling, glasses being
removed, pinching and scratching and looking around the room. A breastfeeding
necklace is intended to be worn by mum whilst she breastfeeds her baby. It can
also be used for a bottle-fed baby and can therefore be worn by Dad also!
Our
necklaces are specifically made with safety in mind from fun colourful and
attractive non-toxic acrylic beads individually designed to stimulate your baby
through tactile and visually stimulating beads.
They are also one of the most fluid ways of bonding with your baby
as they provide passive stimulation, not interfering with feeding but allowing
them to relax and feed whilst you relax.
These unique necklaces are great for social interaction. Older
babies will love to point out the different colours, shapes and animals. In
this way the necklace will become increasingly appealing to your baby and may
prove to be a portable educational tool!
Beads
& Construction
Babybeads-uk
does not use dangerous glass beads or wooden beads that may splinter. The
necklaces are strung on ultra strong waterproof cord (not fishing line like
some other necklaces on the market) tested to 100lbs breaking strain and are
knotted to minimise loss of beads in the unlikely event of a breakage. The
necklace is secured very strongly using a unique knotting method.
Care
& Hygiene
My necklaces
are NOT sold as a baby teether therefore there is no true requirement to
sterilize it. I recommend cold sterilization with a tablet or Milton, or even simpler just wipe over with a
baby wipe for instant superficial cleansing. All our products are made in a
clean environment which is both smoke and pet free.
Unique Design
This particular
necklace consists of bright coloured beads of many different colours, sizes and
textures including guardian angels to watch over you and your baby! (Your necklace may be very slightly
different from the photograph shown.) This necklace would make a fantastic gift
for an expectant mum, a baby shower or for your own baby whether breast or
bottle-fed. It is suitable for Mums with a baby boy or baby girl.
