 From the Devonian Age Limestone Deposits of the Atlas Mountains of Morocco

 Orthoceras is a species of Extinct Marine Creature (from the Cephalopod Class) that populated our Planets Seas and Oceans during the Devonian Period (420–355 million years ago)

 Their name means “straight horn”, which refers to the characteristic long, straight, conical shell and they are the ancestor’s of our modern-day Squid, but also closely related to the Nautilus and Cuttlefish

 They could grow to more than 14 feet in length!!! But I am not going to try and get one of those in the post!!!

 This particular Polished piece is 210mm long and 65mm wide at its widest point and weighs 331 grammes - I have 2 others listed, Both smaller

 Please note – Due to the high polish of the Black Limestone it is difficult to photograph without camera flash ‘glare’

Payment: Must be made within 4 days. My preferred payment methods are Google Checkout, Bacs or Paypal, however if this is not possible I will accept sterling cheques drawn on a UK bank (please check before buying) – please allow 5 working days for the payment to clear before dispatch
