Photo 1. This shows the basic lathe with the tool rest and tailstock. Both the head and tailstock have hollow no. 2 tapers, and the tailstock features a self ejecting mechanism for centres. A live (ie rotating) centre is shown fitted to the tailstock. The red quick release levers on the tailstock, fully adjustable toolrest, headstock and motor speed adjuster can been seen

Photo 3. This shows the 4 speed belt drive. Adjustment is made by loosening the red lever, lifting the motor on its pivot, moving the belt to the required pulleys, lowering the motor and hand tightening the lever again. Very fast and simple. A faceplate is shown fitted to the headstock.
Photo 4. This shows the Craft Supplies combination chuck (see details later) fitted with a set of expanding collets, and the large bowl shaped tool rest.
Photo 5. This shows the whole headstock and motor mechanism turned through 90 degrees for outboard turning of large items. Also fitted is the outboard tool rest assembly. Turning the headstock couldn't be easier - loosen the quick release lever under the motor assembly, pivot to the required angle and retighten the lever!
Photo 6. This shows the combination chuck and manual it its original box. It comes with 3 expanding dovetail collet sets (1.75", 2.5" and 3.5"), a 3 way split ring (used for holding long pieces of timber without the need for tailstock support), a pin chuck (used for holding irregular shaped items such as natural edged bowls), 2 screw chucks, a 2" spigot collet chuck, a faceplate ring and 2 "C" spanners.

Photo 8. The shows the 19 gouges, scrapers and chisels that come with the lathe. They include tools from Sorby, Marples and Taylor.
Photo 9. As if all the above was not enought there is also a bench grinder! It is fitted with a fine white and a general purpose grey stone, and has a useful water bath in front.Perfect for keeping the turning tools in perfectly sharp condition.
Photo 10. This shows everything together - the lathe, tools, accessories, combination chuck and grinder. All you need to start woodturning is a stout bench to mount the lathe on, and a few consumables like polishes, wire wool etc.
