This is a delightful little paperback published in 1993 by Thames & Hudson, The Story Of Rock, by Alain Dister. Dister is a French author with a special interest in rock & roll. This volume was originally published in France and the text has been translated into English by Toula Ballas. Covering the development of rock music from the post-war years to the 1980s, from Fats Domino, Ray Charles, Elvis Presley through Bob Dylan, the Beach Boys and the Beatles to Ian Dury and Elvis Costello and many more.176 pages with many colour and black & white photographs, this book measures a handy 5" x 7" and is printed on slick, glossy paper.
