Beautiful and very stylish traditional Riding Bowler hat by top makers Moss Brothers of Covent Garden.
This hat is in near perfect and totally original condition - rare to find one this good - with inner draw string and retainer elastic in place, red liner and gold impressed logo in perfect order and the black felt in prefect order .
The only area that could possibly be faulted is that the silk finisher bow around the hat brim has a very , very tiny bit of fraying to the edge one end of the bow but this is easily sorted with a little bit of care.
Rare to find these hats in "as new" condition.
This is an old but very, very well cared for hat that would be ideal for anyone doing carriage driving, showing hounds, wanting a nice piece of hunting history, in the show ring mounted on horseback for showing purposes .
The hat measures at the brim internally 7 inches fron to back, 6 inches side to side and is approx sizing of a 6 3/4inch modern hat
NOTE:- Whilst this item would origianlly have been designed with horse riding in mind we cannot recommend it be used other than for showing purposes as does not comply with current BS/PAS standards. Therefore it purchased at own risk for use in this manner.
