The match was pulsating from start to finish. Just six minutes to kick-off, Jancker's goal inflicted a stunning blow to England's chances and made this mammoth task even greater. but within minutes Owen, our white-hot striker, scored the first of an historic hat-trick which revived English hopes. this was the catalyst for a memorable victory, as each player courageously rose to the challenge and contributed their part to an awesome and unforgettable England display.
Such was the enormity of this result, even the team that achieved it found it hard to comprehend. after the game they sat silently amid a pile of muddy boots and sweat stained shirts and wacthed each goal again, cheeing trumphantly, as they now witnessed what we had seen. A victory whcih was beyound our wildest dreams and expectations.
