Nasty crash by Heikki Kovalainen, glad he seems to be OK though. Felt a little sorry for Alonso with his engine giving up. No doubt BMW will be pleased to be in front of fellow German Manufacturer Mercedes in the Constructors championship albeit by one point.

Ferrari still top team but with Shumacher's expertise still with them that's to be expected. BMW are looking good for second slot at the moment but still early days. Lewis did well as he said he was not pleased with the cars performance so 3rd was pretty good, missed Kovalainen's crash as I had to nip out but glad he's OK.
Oh well on to the next round
The 3 stops did seem to have been an odd strategy. Lewis seemed to be able to compete with the Ferraris on the hard tyres which is promising
I'm pleased Massa beat Raikkonen again. I can't seem to warm to him and of course even better that Lewis beat him
If you're going to crash into someone make sure it's your nearest rival. I think the 10 place penalty for the next race will make things hard for Lewis.
As for the track surface Artyman-------If it had been Silverstone, Bernie Ecclestone would have been down on them like a ton of bricks but other circuits seem to get away with murder. I suppose it has a lot to do with how much money they are willing to line his pockets with
Well a dissapointing weekend for Lewis, he just couldn't seem to do anything right, Massa is now looking like a serious contender, his consistency is paying off. Not a particularly exciting race though.
The British MotoGP was a more interesting affair with a pedictable win for Casey Stoner, but a good scrap between Pedrosa and Rossi with Valentino taking second place, and well done to Scott Edding winning the 125cc race, the first time at a British race for donkeys years. Bradley Smith was a bit of a dissapointment. The 250cc race had a dramatic change just at the end as well.
