variety on this site is keeping it from expanding .
I know I have said this before on several occasions and here we are again ,
getting buyers here is a total waste of time and money until we have decent sellers (NO DISRESPECT TO ANY SELLER HERE well i'm one !!) we just do not have the product range listed here that will hold on to any visitor and if there is a product listed that they are interested in its expensive (as pointed out by "the rabbit" on another thread).
In the last month I have been setting up another business and have spent over £6000.00 ,3000 on ebay I hate to say where nearly all I wanted was there and cheap too .I searched here 100's of times for the item(s) I was after ,to no avail not one ,diddly squat ,zilch.
If it was here I couldn't find it using the search and I have no time to look through 100's of obscure listings "just in case".
TO BE CONTINUED ( I have to go out for a while )
PS this comment was not a dig at any seller or the tazbar management, just a reality .

I agree with what you say madhatter - although the 'decent seller' comment I'm guessing meant you wanted to see more variety of items that buyers are looking for.
I also do a lot of my auction site shopping on eBay after a fruitless search here.
Mostly I avoid auction sites because a lot of the big named sites beat any auction site hands down - especially with their special offers - free postage and huge choice of products.
I only use auction sites when my usual on-line stores dont stock what I want to buy
items available
Hi GTG ( Mooney )
Yes my wording was incorrect there SO SORRY ABOUT THOSE THAT READ IT AS AN AFFRONT TO THEIR INTEGRITY
As the items I am after needs to be used ( very expensive kit ) it is easier to find on "there!!" than any website , on 1 item alone I saved £400 (for a £1000 item)even after the cost of collecting it and it had only been used once so was in new condition .
Hi Madhatter
You knew I wouldnt be offended - I think I have read enough of your posts to be able to easily translate them now
You said you were nipping out so I was jumping in to help out
Probably made it worse now
I was very sad on Sunday. I realised that I was a terrible aunt - and my nephews birthday present was sitting wrapped on the table here - rather than sitting wrapped on the table in Scotland where he lives.
Frantic emails to his mum - with huge apologies from me for my terrible behaviour suggested the best way out was to buy quickly a couple of Game Boy Advance games and get them mailed direct......
Nothing here so I went elsewhere.
Likewise the card seller who'd make cards and mail them direct seems to have left us... she'd have come in very handy. That came from elsewhere too
I did try.... honest
listen to the rabbit
ehh whats up doc
Were they BIN items ?
If so i wonder if it's worth asking the sellers of items we want to list on tazbar with the temptation of a definate sale and them keeping more of the profit.

Hi Debs , most of the items where auctions, much to the disagreement of many I use a sniping tool to bid for me as I would not use anything ebay to auto bid and don't have the time to mess about watching dozens of auctions.
Upon saying that , your idea is worth developing I am sure it would be time well spent by someone on the inside to go out and "sell " Tazbar to some of the medium sellers from you know where ,I know that's what I would do if this was my site .
HI
I also agree with what your saying madhatter. Whenever i need something i look here first, but most of the time i end up buying from ebay, although i have bought some nice things here (and quite cheaply), but i don't know the answer, apart from tazbar doing more advertising.

my views differ a bit I guess MH.....
A while back when there was a new seller who listed a zillion posters - there was a lot of moaning, which I never understood myself. I think Taz needs a few sellers like that, ones with big inventories.
I apreciate that it hits the visibility of the little peeps like me - but it does mean that if you're looking for something in that category - you'll be more likely to find it, creating a more positive experience all round.
I was really disappointed in my brief trip into the games section - yet games are the sort of items that many big sellers elsewhere list a zillion of.
I know Taz have managed to get a few big listers in several categories - and I hope they manage to get some more in others
Hi Indy , your views are no different than mine going by that statement !!
The problem with that particular seller was that there was no specific category for him to list on at the time so it got dumped in the art section I believe , there rests the problem a chicken and egg whatsit , if you have a cat for every possible scenario you would end up with loads of empty cats but if a seller comes in with loads of one type of item but with no cat to put it in it ends up in the nearest type , scuppered !!! , it's a management issue that may need addressing for the future .
after reading this thread i have to agree
lots of sellers not msny buyers
but what is the answer?
when i sold on ebid a couple of years ago there was a lady that sold "ebid flyers" all the same template but added your shop name etc so ebid got advertised and so did the individual seller i think i bought about 600
so anyone got a printer who can knock up some ebid flyers?
lol

oh dear theres no helping me lol
morning all
If I thought there was any mileage in producing flyers I'd get the presses rolling!
Not for me .... but to offer (personalised) for sale. However - P&P costs are silly now and most people can produce decent quality copy with a reasonable inkjet and some 90gsm+ paper.
yeah but not everyone has printers that lady sold a lot of them and i would definatly buy a pack
its an idea anyway
what do others think?

What size flyers - A5 or A4 or summat else? What sort of quantities / price? And was it standard or special / glossy paper? Do you know if they were inkjet or laser printed? (Sorry for so many Q's ... but you've set me thinking again!)
hey love it was a4 on just normal paper
and just normal ink printed i think
its a good way of advertising ourselves and tazbar
when i mention tazbar to alot of people they say "whats that?"
