    HA v Councle

I am looking to move and have looked at a new house but it is Housing association.

A few people i have spoke to say they would never live in an HA property, although i dont know why.

Would you have a preference over councle or HA ?

    Is there any difference ?

I would presume that a HA is like any landlord, good and bad. The thing is with a Housing Association I get a sense that you are more vunerable with a possible change of management than you would be with a council rented property. Perhaps a trip to the local CAB might be useful.

No difference between HA/Council properties, just HA do replacement works quicker than council tho

    Glad you posted that.

A friend of mine had been waiting for years for the council to make improvements to her home.

Then the council decided it was too expensive to do up alll the properties to meet the new standards and sold out to a housing association.

Within weeks, my friends property had double glazing, central heating, and a new kitchen and bathroom
